GWS reports on status and future plans

Global Warning System (GWS) announces the company’s overall status and future plans, two years after listing in 2014. GWS continues to focus on major opportunities, and has increased sales efforts that are growing traction, but lower goals. GWS will launch a new service, GWS SDK, in order to meet new demands, which will broaden the market potential, and shorten the time to market. GWS has also started working on the next generation AI (Artificial Intelligence) based on GWS large internal database.

GWS provides a personal travel security service, Safeture, which provides critical information about disasters and other threats that could impact on travelers. The service was listed in October 2014, and since then it has been rolled out through large partnership agreements. Safeture is gaining traction within the insurance, telecom, security and travel industry. During 2016, GWS has accelerated the sales investments by opening local sales offices in Singapore and Brazil, plus allocated dedicated resources to the North America market. The subsidiary Travelogix, has also begun offering the Safeture solutions to its customers in the travel market, with the first agreements recently signed. However, the time from initial sales contact to signing agreements, and full-scale roll out has generally been longer than expected. GWS shows a continued positive trend, but lower than previously set financial goals.

Andreas Rodman, CEO at GWS, comments:

“We are working on many major sales processes with large stake holders, and they are the result of a long term investment in sales. We can see that the current strategy and sales work are yielding positive results. During 2016, GWS has grown its sales and marketing effort, but due to the longer than anticipated lead time, the positive effect is expected to be seen first in 2017.”

A positive outcome from the recently terminated cooperation with G4S is that GWS has now scaled up its own internal analytical capabilities, resulting in a significant improvement of content quality. In addition to the main hub in Lund, Sweden, there are now local analysts in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Sao Paolo, Brazil, with plans of a local analytic hub in the Middle East.

Andreas Rodman comments:

“We have received feedback from customers that we often have better content, and that is faster than our competitors for 24/7 international incidents. This progress has been achieved by integrating technology to support our analysts, and we estimate that we are actually using significantly less human resources than our competitors, while still producing better content. Therefore, in addition to our lead in the technical area, we now believe that we have gained a top position within 24/7 international alert analytic content production as well.”

GWS is also working on the next generation AI (Artificial Intelligence) input gathering support to reach an even higher level of content analyzing, where GWS can take advantage of the internal large and structured databases as learning sets for the next generation AIs. Andreas Rodman explains:

“Our belief is that our competitors will have difficulty in copying our AI work, due to the lack of the right type of structured data and processes for teaching AIs. The new AI will enable GWS to reach a content level for real time international incidents that is far beyond anything available today in the civilian industry.”

During 2016, GWS has also identified new market demands, and will launch a new package of its service called GWS SDK (Software Developer Kit). The GWS SDK allows complementary sales in addition to the longer processes when selling the complete service, by integrating the GWS service as a component in existing or newly developed apps. Andreas Rodman concludes:

“Many larger companies today either work on building their own app user base or are planning to do so. A key feature for building a successful large user base is to have an active app usage, by creating a reason to open it repeatedly. The GWS service fits well into these plans, as the 24/7 alerts and country welcome messages generates live content and increases the interaction between the user and the app. The GWS SDK allows app developer to include the live content into any app as an integrated component, thereby reaching a broader market. It answers a request based on the development direction of larger corporations, who already have or plan to launch their own mobile app.”

With the GWS SDK in its product portfolio, the company maintains the expansion scope, but has the possibility to be more flexible, work on additional sales processes and broaden the market.
