Matilda Melin aka ORKID är en Stockholmsbaserad popartist med ett alldeles eget uttryck, karisma och karaktär i sin röst, vilket gör att man inte kan ta miste om henne som artist. Hon sticker ut från mängden med sina catchy och medryckande poplåtar och hennes sprudlande energi och glädje gör henne helt enkelt lovable.
ORKIDs karriär pekar nu spikrakt uppåt vilket de 19 listplaceringar på New Music Friday på Spotify med sin senaste hit ”Wasted” som också spelas flitigt på radiokanalerna P3, P4, P5 och East FM kan intyga om.
Matilda medverkade i Idol 2013 och kom på 6:e placering och har sedan dess gjort ett flertal livespelningar, bland annat i London. Nu är hon precis i startskottet av sin karriär och det har blivit dags för henne att fortsätta ut och spela live och möta sina fans efter framgångarna med senaste singeln.

At the raw age of 16, she cleverly used the ‘Idol’ stage and overcame the challenge of being heard from a small town, leaving audiences gob smacked with her world class potential. Desiring much more than ‘flash in the pan’ success,over the following two years ORKID completed her education, honed her song writing and live performance skills, and developed into one of Sweden’s most exciting artist exports to watch.
In 2017, ORKID released her first two singles together with Stockholm label ART:ERY “Soulmates”, and “Only if you want to”. Both impressive tracks have been added to several Spotify lists around the world and “Only if you want to” reached over 300,000 streams in less than a month. In October the third single & co-write “Running back” hit Spotify heavyweight playlists close to a million followers (Weekly Buzz, Believe the Hype and Out Now). ORKID’s newest offering “Wasted” is arguably her most radio friendly yet; playful, upbeat and laced with more hooks than you can poke a stick at.
