Are you brave enough to stay in HSB Living Lab?
HSB Living Lab will be completed at Campus Johanneberg in the spring of 2016 – 28 apartments which will be ready to move into by spring/summer 2016. Applicants can register their interest now.
What is HSB Living Lab?
HSB Living Lab is a living lab, the only one of its kind in the world. It’s a residential building for 30-40 students, guest researchers and doctoral students at the heart of Campus Johanneberg. While providing a home for many people for a long time, the entire building will be set up for research into the sustainable living of the future. There are other living labs around the world, but none where so many people will be living permanently for such a long time. At HSB Living Lab, research will be moving in with the residents and not the other way round. The building is being constructed in modules and will be in place for a decade before being dismantled and moved.
What awaits residents of HSB Living Lab?
Can you picture yourself living among measuring equipment, washing with your mates in the foyer and seeing elite researchers from all over the world wandering round the building? If so, HSB Living Lab’s student accommodation is for you. There’s no denying it – this will be a special place to live. But if you want to live in a unique, dynamic environment where you’ll be able to make contact with students, researchers and the business community while also living with modern facilities – well, this is the home for you. The things you do and the research and tests carried out will give us invaluable input to help develop the accommodation of the future.
Who’ll be able to live at HSB Living Lab?
If you are a student at Chalmers or Göteborgs universitet or member of HSB and interested and want to stay in HSB Living Lab, please send us e-mail: hsblivinglab@chalmersstudentbostader.se and we will send you a message when it is time to search for an apartment at Boplats Göteborg.

5 Steps to apply:
Step 1: Until 9 March If you want to, you can register for to stay in HSB Living Lab at Chalmers student housing: hsblivinglab@chalmersstudentbostader.se and get noticed when its time for you to apply.
Step 2: March 9 to 18 is the 23 vacant apartments searchable Boplats Gothenburg. https://nya.boplats.se/
Step 3: 26 March A week later we will send invitation to the 60 students who meet the selection criteria. Shortly thereafter they will be called to an audition where they receive information about how it is to live in HSB Living Lab and interviewed about the conditions of the accommodation.
Step 4: March 31 Auditions at Chalmers in Gothenburg. Location and time will be announced the 60 candidates who meet the selection criteria .
Step 5: June 1 The occupancy in HSB Living Lab begin.
