Inteno launches iopsys 2.0 – an ultimate service delivery platform

An essential part of iopsys is the app portal, where users are able to download software to computers and smart phones. The Portal 2.0 has many new features:

• The communication now enforces the use of trusted certificates.
• The backend administration interface allows for automatic grouping of users and provides management accounts with access to only a specific group.
• Pre-registration of user and device accounts makes system backend integration easier than before.
• The user can now pair his mobile device with the gateway for automatic account creation, which decreases the need for heavy backend integration.
• The mobile applications ensure correct compatibility by dynamically installing or upgrading applications in the gateway when a component is missing or an update has become available.

The ice-client 2.0 (iopsys communication engine) is based on XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol). XMPP has been defined and supported by a large community over several years and is widely deployed by companies like Google and Facebook. The ice-client registers the gateway to the portal and keeps an encrypted XMPP tunnel open, ensuring real-time access without delays traversing even multiple NAT barriers. XMPP is therefore rapidly gaining momentum to become the standard protocol for “Internet of Things” devices. The ice-client can be compiled in any Linux based Internet of Things device, allowing you to communicate with a device at any time from anywhere.

In addition, a lot of features have been added. Some of these are full IPv6, improved support for LTE including failover, load balancing and mobile WAN, dual APN, support for dual concurrent WiFi, IPPBX and DECT ULE including communication demand.
