Programat S1 1600: Sintered restorations can now be achieved even faster at temperatures up to 1600°C

The new sinter furnace from Ivoclar Vivadent produces zirconium oxide crown frameworks in 75 minutes

With conventional sinter furnaces, the sintering process takes between five and eight hours. The new Programat S1 1600 works faster and more efficiently: It is able to sinter an IPS e.max ZirCAD or Zenostar MO crown framework in only 75 minutes. This is made possible by a sinter temperature of up to 1600°C.

The enhanced efficiency brought about with this significantly reduced cycle time pays off. It is now possible to fabricate crowns and bridges with a zirconium oxide framework (ZrO₂), including a veneer, in one workday. The time savings also have a positive effect on the energy costs: Compared to a conventional sinter furnace, the Programat S1 1600 is able to cut down the energy consumption by almost two-thirds.

Convenient and easy operation

The new sinter furnace is designed is such a way that it is convenient and easy to operate. The user-friendly control panel features a clearly-arranged graphic display that optimally shows all the relevant information. The furnace can be effortlessly controlled and programmed with the tried-and tested membrane-sealed keypad. An Optical Status Display employs different colours to inform the user about the current operating status. The furnace head opens upward and clears a lot of space so that the sinter chamber can be conveniently loaded. What is more, the furnace's compact dimensions and low weight represent additional benefits. While conventional sinter furnaces weigh up to 100 kg, the Programat S1 1600 only weighs a moderate 27 kg.
