DSB- Redefining Digital Services

Jayway are helping the Danish State Railways – DSB to define which mobile digital services their passengers need and value and how these services should be designed for the best possible user experience.

With a large and diverse set of existing mobile applications, the ambition of the project is to provide a more coherent set of services to DSB passengers, in a single mobile application, across the three major mobile platforms – iPhone, Android and Windows Phone.

Using the Jayway Digital Service Design Process, needs and wishes from both DSB and, most importantly its passengers, have been transformed into a viable digital service design.

Through creative workshops and various forms of prototyping, concepts and interaction designs have been assessed and tested with real users early on. Jayway’s technology expertise in mobile and software development helps to identify limitations and exploit the great possibilities for developing digital services across different mobile platforms.

Early prototyping and continuous end-user testing ensure that adjustments can be made early on, and throughout the service design, for the most cost-effective process.

DSB offers attractive journeys to people in Denmark, and transports more than 195 million passengers every year. The DSB Group has an annual turnover of approx. DKK 10 billion and employs a staff of approx. 9,300 people. DSB is an Independent Public Company owned by the Danish Ministry of Transport.
