Kicking off Hackademy IV

Proud to announce that today Talent Without Borders (TWB) will kick-off it’s 4th Hackademy in Malmö, including a new satellite in Stockholm. We’re pretty excited to spend the next 8 weeks in a boot-camp together with these talents, and now we invite you all to be a part of it.

Talent Without Borders is a non-profit organization founded late 2015 by a few individuals with the support of their respective organizations. The purpose of TWB, triggered by the migration situation in late 2015, is to assist talented people to gain a foothold in the Swedish employment market. Since our daily business is agile software development, this was a natural starting point, and our first program, named “Hackademy”, was born.

The steering committee currently comprises representatives from Sony, Jayway, Cybercom, Softhouse and Alite International. In addition, we are proud to have a number of partner companies that add value to the program in various aspects.

Please note that the program is not a part of the founding companies’ recruitment strategy. After the previous three programs, a few of the participants were indeed employed by the founders; but that is not the objective. We want to be open for all employers in the region and work actively to open our networks and invite other companies to meet with- and interview our participants. Ultimately, we want our participants to not only find jobs but find the right employer and the right starting point for their next career step.

In short, we want to make a tangible difference, and create good examples. Because it’s needed. And because we can.
