We don't make brooches

In the exhibition WE DON'T MAKE BROOCHES the students of Ädellab/Metal design (bachelor) and Jewelley + Corpus (master) present a selection of brooches made within the last 2 years. All 40 students had the choice to participate. The concept for the presentation was developed by the first year students of the MA-group Jewelley + Corpus.
The presentation is referring to the specific difference between brooches and other forms of jewellery. The brooches are exhibited on textile bodies; the body being present in a representation, but also being absent through the reference of the used textile. The textile bodies made for the presentation are almost anonymous, that is, until the brooches make them individual cultural beings.
