The Bland have taken their clothes off! 

When does folk cross into rock? When does clinically polished metronome bars fall in the shadow of free organic energy? The Bland have taken their clothes off. What was at first tightly buttoned flannel shirts and jackets have turned into sweaty bare breasts, dirty knees and decadence.

’Each Bend I Pass’ is a story about the stupendous steps from a childhood home to the neon infernos of the big cities. The separating roads. Feelings that turned into fire and explosions. Friends becoming lovers and lovers becoming killers.

A story about the boy band growing up in the streets that were later to seduce them. How the plaza sun turned into dark-red club-light is described in an infinite outro breathing through unrestrained rock as Axel Öberg sings out his frustration in the song ’Oh My’ - a radical turn of the band that previously has been singing about pleasant afternoons in the countryside.

After Anton Torstensson (guitar) and Axel Öberg nearly drowned in a Italian river, and later on woke up without their belongings on a beach in Nice - the Bland’s songwriters decided to pause the clubs of Europe and return to Sweden to tell a story. The result is ’Each Bend I Pass’, and The Bland is now soon back on Europe’s stages.
