Jaguar I-PACE vinner World Car of the Year
Jaguar I-PACE har vunnit det prestigefyllda bilpriset World Car of the Year vid New York International Auto Show och World Car Awards.
Jaguar tog hem toppriset framför konkurrenter som Audi e-Tron och Volvo S60/V60. Men inte nog med att I-PACE blev utnämnd som världens bästa bil – den vann också titlarna World Design Car of the Year och World Green Car of the World.
En jury bestående av 88 motorjournalister från hela världen står bakom utmärkelserna.
"När vi började processen med Jaguar I-PACE, sa jag till mina anställda – låt oss bygga världens bästa bil. Och det har vi gjort. Efter mer än 40 år hos Jaguar kan jag säga – detta är mitt Oscars moment”, säger chefsdesignern Ian Callum efter ceremonin.
De tre priserna från New York gör den redan långa raden av utmärkelser ännu längre. Jaguar I-PACE kan sedan tidigare stoltsera med att ha vunnit bland annat Årets Bil i Europa 2019, Årets Bil i Tyskland, Årets Bil i Norge och Årets Elbil i Sverige.
