Foreign rights catalogue - Leopard publishing house

Leopard publishing house presents our 2019 catalogue of foreign rights.

The year has gotten off to a great start for us, with several exciting releases, and it is with much anticipation we look forward to the fall!.

We would especially like to draw attention to two titles in the catalogue, which we are convinced have great potential internationally.

Firstly, we are proud to present author, activist and actor Saga Becker's debut novel Our tongues taste of violence, which will be released in August. Raw, beautiful and intimate; this novel, largely based on Saga's own experiences as a transgender individual, explores the struggle to find a place in a society that considers you a deviant. Desperate and hopeful at the same time, this novel aims for the heart.

Secondly, be sure not to miss Ellinor Skagegård's exquisite account of the life of Fanny Mendelssohn, For you, music may only be an ornament. As a musical prodigy raised in early 19th century Prussia, Fanny's path is made clear to her as a fourteen-year-old; she must focus on her duty to get married.Yet despite her father’s, and eventually her brother’s, resistance, Fanny wrote approximately 500 musical pieces and is today considered to be the most important female composer of the 19th century.
