MedUniverse raises additional capital and appoints new Board Members

MedUniverse is accelerating the development and roll-out of its software product, which is customised for the global pharmaceutical and med-tech industries. The MedUniverse software is offered on a subscription basis as a tool for effective product information and education based on interactive patient case studies, with a long run goal of improved patient outcomes. Currently, over twenty international life science companies are subscribing clients.

In January 2016, MedUniverse closed an investment round of 11 MSEK from 20 North Street, a network of investors connected to HDR Partners, as well as from previous owners, to provide resources for accelerated software development, to enable international expansion and to grow the team. Håkan Åström, with extensive experience from the pharmaceutical industry, and Björn Algqvist, Co-Founder of Intentia, have joined the MedUniverse Board of Directors on behalf of 20 North Street.

Anna Omstedt Lindgren, Founding Partner and Board Member of MedUniverse, is enthusiastic about the continued development of the business and welcomes the new owners:
