After this year’s success: Morakniv Adventure returns for 2018

The premiere of Morakniv Adventure was held in May this year. The concept was a well-received success and now the Swedish knife manufacturer keep on going. The attractive spots for next year’s adventure are released September 1.

Participants from all over the world gathered in Mora to spend four days together in the Swedish woods during this year’s premiere of Morakniv Adventure. The activities included several workshops held by the well-known profiles, and Morakniv ambassadors, Dave Canterbury, Johan Skullman, Jögge Sundqvist och Beth Moen. The reception was very positive which made Morakniv decide to keep going another year. Morakniv Adventure returns and the dates are set to May 17-20, 2018.

“Since the premiere was such a success it was no question for us, of course we were going to do it again. Next year we’re increasing the number of participants, from 70 to 100, to meet the demand we saw this year when all spots sold out in just two days. We’re also evaluating the program and are looking into how we can develop it and take it to the next level. Some of this year’s activities and workshops will return, while we still want to come up with new exciting challenges for our participants. This is also where the mix of activities and themes makes things extra fun. You get both the craft and the outdoor, bushcraft and survival parts, which makes it an adventure for both those who recently discovered outdoor life, as well as the more experienced bushcrafters”, says Bashar Mustafa, Project Manager for Morakniv Adventure.

Registration for Morakniv Adventure 2018 opens on September 1, 2017, at 12.00 p.m.

Morakniv – Made in Mora Sweden since 1891

A Morakniv is always made in Mora, in our factory in the village of Östnor, where it’s been located for centuries. We have control over the entire production, as it’s we who carry out each step of the process. Making extremely good knives is a complicated process, and during the last 125 years we have a learnt a great deal about how we can do it to get the best possible results. Every step in the process, from the start in the pressing hall to the finishing line in dispatch, has a unique role. We constantly evaluate the different production stages and look at how we can be even better and more efficient. Join us for a tour of our factory, from the steel to the completed knife.
