NA-KD partners up with Pamela Reif to launch new sustainable initiative

Pamela Reif is one of the biggest names in German fashion. She has previously released 3 collections for the Swedish fashion brand NA-KD. Now, she’s the brand’s first design partner for a new sustainable initiative: NA-KD Reborn.

Pamela Reif has created a sustainable collection with carefully curated basics made from organic and recycled materials. Key pieces include beautiful knits, tops and t-shirts with details like off-shoulder cuts, cropped lengths and puff sleeves. She has also designed perfect circle skirts, soft bodysuits and halterneck dresses. All pieces are made with different compositions of recycled polyester, recycled cotton, organic cotton and/or lyocell. The hangtags are made from FSC certified recycled paper and care labels are made of recycled polyester. The garment prices range from 22.95-55.95 EUR.

When creating her collection, Pamela Reif had a clear vision for her design approach. She was determined to include sustainable thinking in the garment selection as well as in the materials: “

For me, being sustainable means not wasting clothes by just wearing them once and then throwing them away. That’s why I designed a very timeless collection that focuses on basics. My goal was to create pieces that people can keep in their closets for a long time. Pieces that don’t go out of style and can be worn with all kinds of outfits. When NA-KD proposed the exact same concept to me, I was so happy about the possibilities to make a change.“ says Pamela Reif.

In the collab, Pamela Reif is also sharing sustainable life hacks on NA-KD’s social media channels. These will help people make better choices in their everyday lives. She’s also challenging followers to take the Reborn Challenge - aiming to get people to share their sustainable habits. 15 winners will meet Pamela at her launch event.

Besides creating collections made from better materials, NA-KD Reborn also fulfils its sustainable ethos in its packaging. All Pamela Reif x NA-KD products (and future collections) use sustainable packaging made from 100% recycled plastic with an added Biodegradable Organic Polymer (BDP™). It should be recycled, but if it ends up in landfills - the plastic breaks down in just a few years.

“We are very excited to be working with Pamela Reif again - this time on a sustainable collection. NA-KD Reborn is a very important step on our journey towards becoming truly sustainable,”  says Natasha Billing, Brand Director at NA-KD.
