NetClean was recently introduced onto the Thai market at a press conference in Bangkok, and its technical solutions, which prevent the spread of child sexual abuse content, were very well received. The Grand Millennium Sukhumvit hotel in Bangkok and the hotel chain Six Senses Resorts & Spas with facilities in six countries have already installed NetClean software in their computer systems. Other hotels have also shown an interest.
- As individuals and as companies, we must do everything within our power to stop all forms of child abuse. The Grand Millennium Sukhumvit is the first hotel in Thailand to install NetClean software and we sincerely hope that many other hotels and companies will follow our lead and support this much needed action, says Thomas Christiansen, General Manager of Grand Millennium Sukhumvit.
The hotel sector in Thailand was first out and gave the clearest signals concerning interest in taking responsibility through installing NetClean software. Other industries are also showing an interest. European Safety Concepts (ESC) is an example of a company in the security business that has installed NetClean software.
-The growth of child sexual abuse content and its implicit child abuse through the internet is utterly abhorrent and wrong. By supporting NetClean’s empowering initiative and implementing its software into Six Senses Resorts & Spas’ computer systems, we believe that we are taking a vital first step to stop a reprehensible global epidemic, say Sonu and Eva Shivdasani, the founders of Six Senses Resorts & Spas.
The hotels have installed NetClean Child Abuse Free Zone, the software that is designed specifically for hotels and which operates on the guest and/or conference network. The software identifies and blocks child sexual abuse images and videos through comparison with material classified by the police. By installing this system, the hotel safeguards the integrity of children while protecting and strengthening its trademark.
- It's always exciting to break into a new market, and we are very pleased that our efforts in Thailand are already showing results. That we now have a presence in Sweden, Denmark, the UK and Thailand signals an increased worldwide awareness of the problem of child sexual abuse content and a willingness to do something about it, says Christian Sjöberg, CEO of NetClean.
