Pressmeddelande -

Many reasons to report from the Euro Mine Expo. Europe's mining industry to meet in Skellefteå.

"For example, the subject of 'Good Governance and Corporate Responsibility' is of particular interest. Jonas Lundstrom from the Pajala Case and Richard Evans of SRK Consulting will share their views on how to handle the needs of different interests," says Lennart Gustavsson, chairman of Georange.

Journalists present at the expo will have plenty of opportunities to learn about the latest trends and news from the mining industry.

"There's a lot happening in the mining industry right now. The industry is starting many new projects and taking on new challenges. I think we will see more and more service companies focused on the mining industry and more and more people will come to realize that mining is a community project and not just a hole in the ground," according to Lennart Gustavsson.

He emphasizes that the Euro Mine Expo is an important venue for both large and small companies.

"I've been encouraging local businesses in northern Västerbotten to take the opportunity to come get a feel for the industry. The mining industry doesn't start small projects. In Kiruna, an entire town is being moved and in Pajala, the community is growing. When you see this, you realize the need for knowledge and service companies.

"I should also note that Nikolay Philippov from Russia will provide an important and interesting perspective on how Russian companies view being a part of the European mining industry," says Lennart Gustavsson.
