SUMM Systems : Industrial Skills Seminar

Alfred Nobel Science Park was pleased to take part and present at the SUMM Systems Industrial Skills Seminar held in Gothenburg at end of January. The aim of the 2 day conference was to share, learn and implement knowledge in the areas of Additive Manufacturing, CAD, CAM/Part Manufacturing, Teamcenter, Robotics, Automation as well as QMS. 

Many companies attended, with speakers from DMG Mori, IDEAL PLM, Alfred Nobel Science Park, LKN Industriautomation, Tooltec Trestad Laser, Siemens Industrial TurboMachinery AB, and Wedeaq Scandinavia AB. Alfred Nobel Science Park presented on the subject of ‘Optimizing and scaling Additive Manufacturing for big industry with cutting edge research and knowledge from academia’. This included an overview of 2 demonstrator projects that will provide expert advice to businesses on the steps needed to set up an AM facility from a holistic perspective, as well as understanding the costs of running an AM production facility.
