Ottobock acquires Respecta OY, Finland

Ottobock acquired Respecta Oy on 14 June 2013. Respecta operates within the assistive devices and orthopaedic industry in Finland. Respecta has just over 200 employees and a turn-over of appr. MEUR 36 (2012).

Otto Bock Scandinavia AB, Norrköping Sweden, and its ten subsidiaries is the market leader in the orthopaedic industry on the Nordic market. The product and service portfolio includes prostheses, orthoses, wheelchairs, orthopaedic shoes and orthopaedic service and our brand Rehband with soft orthoses for rehabilitation and sports. Otto Bock Scandinavia AB and its subsidiaries have appr. 400 employees and an annual turn-over of appr. MEUR 70. Parent company for Ottobock worldwide is the German company Otto Bock HealthCare GmbH. Ottobock has about 6,000 employees at 49 sales and marketing offices worldwide and a turnover of appr. MEUR 800.
