PM & Vänner in Växjö - the first and only restaurant in Sweden to be awarded the Grand Award by Wine Spectator

PM & Vänner is the latest restaurant to receive this elusive prize, securing a place as one of the world's best dining destinations, along with restaurants such as The French Laundry in the Napa Valley, Eleven Madison Park in New York and Le Louis XV - Alain Ducasse in Monte Carlo.

The Grand Award is symbolised by three glasses, which corresponds to the three stars of the Michelin Guide, and is understood to mean that the restaurant is considered to be "worth making a special trip for".

The prize will be awarded at the Grand Award Gala in New York on 21st October, at the closing of the Wine Experience, where the world's leading winemakers and restaurateurs will gather.
