2011-04-17 17:42 David Gray inspects Iggesund's new generation Paper Machine Two (PM2) which came on stream back in June 2008. The new, improved Invercote that emerged continues to receive top marks for its whiteness, shade and other properties, thanks in part to a new, patented surface treatment method. Here we see a production in progress for coverters in the US market. Time? About four hours flat out.
2011-04-17 11:32 During the spring, the Open team visited Iggesund Paperboard to see how their Rolls Royce product - Invercote - is made. Pictured here is Account Manager Stephanie Beudat next to the debarking drum, where a magical mix of pine, spruce and birch wood is prepared for pulp-making. To ensure sustainable supplies, the Holmen Group replants some 330 million new trees every year - a surplus.
