Emergency Exercise: Staged helicopter crasch will affect accessibility at Falu lasarett

An emergency exercise will take place at Falu lasarett (hospital) on 25th September between 8.30am to 11.30am. Authorities will practice how to manage a helicopter crash at the helipad in Falun. During the exercise the accessibility to the main entrance at Falu lasarett will be limited to one lane. The drive to the emergency room and childbirth will be open as usual. Patients by foot on the other hand will receive an alternative entrance to the emergency and signage will show the way.

– We will also have extra staff at the location to ensure that all patients to the emergency find their way, says Emma Björklund, crisis coordinator.
