PRESEND enter new partnership in the UK

Retain24s subsidiary PRESEND Nordic, the leading Nordic-Baltic prepaid program manager, and Miconex, a UK provider of digital marketing services, has announced their partnership to provide Visa gift and promotion cards to city councils and towns across the UK.

Miconex provides customized apps and digital promotion solutions to city councils. “We chose PRESEND because of the impressive simplicity and flexibility of the City Center card platform,” says Colin Munro, Managing Director at Miconex Ltd. “Settlement with the merchants is handled automatically, and we simply use the existing POS terminals. Statistics are available in real time, and you can access the system from a smart phone or tablet. We administer everything for our clients so they can focus on running their business.”

The PRESEND City Center card won a special commendation at the 2014 Global Prepaid Awards. The City Center card helps promote local trade and drive traffic to city and town centers, including small and independent businesses. Card acceptance is restricted to the businesses chosen by the council or merchant affiliation joining the program, and the card is branded with their logo.

Local trade and small businesses face competition from shopping centers, department stores, outlets, and national chains. A joint gift card is a highly efficient sales and marketing tool, allowing smaller merchants, who could otherwise not afford a gift card program, to benefit from more visits, new customers, and additional sales. The addition of a flexible gift and promotion card to Miconex’s existing service offering, provides a complete marketing platform for city councils and merchant affiliations.
