rêve launches a mobile application that improves consumers shopping experience

Suppose you’re in a shop and you find the perfect sweater, but you are not sure about the colour and size. Imagine that your mobile phone could recognise that sweater and tell you all the available colour and sizes for you to pick your favourite. Or that a friend of yours found something for you at another shop, so you can take a peek at it, and try it on later when you visit that store.

rêve, the product-recognition platform, today announced the launch in Sweden of a free mobile application for iPhone® that allows users to recognise, connect and interact with physical products from their favourite retailers. rêve brings the digital life benefits to physical retail, to the extent of closing the gap between online and offline commerce.

“Today we’re giving people the best tool to improve their day-to-day shopping experience with smartphones” says Josep M. Nolla, cofounder and CEO of rêve. “As consumers we are interested in the products we like, no matter if we see them in a shop or in a website, and therefore we should be able to interact with those products in a seamless, integrated and channel-independent manner. rêve does this by bringing the digital benefits to offline retail in an easy, fun and engaging style”.

Starting today, users that download the app will enjoy a significantly improved shopping experience avoiding queues, crowds and lack of information. By going into one of the supported retailer’s stores and scanning a product’s barcode, rêve users can:

  • Automatically recognise the products they like

  • Obtain real-time product information about those items, such as name, price, images, sizes, colors, product description and more

  • Share, comment, rate, and even buy later, via rêve’s website, the things they've scanned

  • Keep track at anytime of all the things they love

  • Get inspired by what their friends, followers, bloggers, brands like and scan

  • Use rêve to find a gift for any occasion, dream up their next purchase, save great products and discuss their favourite discoveries with all their friends

The app currently supports the largest fashion high street retailers in Scandinavia, such as Zara, H&M, Massimo Dutti, Lindex, KappAhl, MQ, Bik Bok, Cubus, Vila, Vero Moda, Weekday, Monki and COS; and rêve will continuously add more.

rêve’s app is designed for iPhone’s with iOS7, is available in Sweden and can be downloaded in the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/se/app/reve/id855054234?ls=1&mt=8
