Sail Racing - Official Clothing Partner to France SailGP Team and SailGP

Sail Racing has been appointed Official Clothing Partner of the France SailGP Team and will provide the team with technical and shore gear. Sail Racing will also supply clothing to the SailGP organization and create the official merchandise range.

"We are very happy to be a part of the France SailGP team, we know they have what it takes to be a strong competitor in SailGP. We think they are the most underestimated team in this year’s lineup, from our point of view it’s hard to find a more powerful combination on the water. They are outfitted in our recently launched Reference collection which is designed and developed for high speed sailing. We are also happy to be involved with SailGP organization, and create an official range with apparel, accessories and headwear." says Joakim Berne, CEO at Sail Racing International AB.

Since our founding, our tight-knit team of professional designers, engineers, explorers, manufacturers and high-speed sailors have been developing garments for high activity and high-speed sailing. “We will now work on improvements together with our new Test Team members. Together I believe that we can push the developments of technical sailing garments even further. We have to remember that these boats are expected to reach 50 knots and will race in a format, that will require new kinds of garments and protection” says Joakim Berne.

“When we are sailing these magnificent, foiling 50-foot catamarans, clothing has a big impact. We are therefore very happy to be partner with the innovative sailing brand Sail Racing and we believe that we will have a great partnership during 2019” said Billy Besson and Marie Riou, four times world champions of Nacra 17, and members of the France SailGP Team.

Sail Racing has also designed and manufactured an Official France SailGP Team and an Official SailGP collection available online at sailracing.com and sailgp.com/fanshop. The collections carry technical sailing gear and casual clothing. The clothing collections will also be available at the events around the world.

“At SailGP, as we set out to redefine sailing, we are working with partners that share our vision and ethos. This is true of Sail Racing who continue to innovate and push boundaries. We are delighted to be wearing their range onshore and hope fans will enjoy the merchandise that they will be able to purchase around the globe and show their support for their favorite team” says Rolf Beisswanger, chief commercial officer for SailGP.

SailGP starts on 15th of February 2019 in Sydney, Australia. The inaugural season then continues on to San Francisco, New York and Cowes before the finale in Marseille.
