“The future of HR is no HR”, was articulated by the president of SuccessFactors, Mike Ettling on SuccessConnect 2015 in Amsterdam. What does that mean? Are we, who work within the HR domain, now without a job? Basically, it means that HR should function as an integrated part of the business and provide value as such, not by its’ own right. With the industrialization that SuccessFactors has been leading in the HR SaaS area, this is becoming a reality.
Liquid workforce is an increasing component of the total workforce and companies need a holistic way to manage demand and supply: in time, to the right cost and with the right competence. With Fieldglass integrated with SuccessFactors, businesses can acquire and handle lifecycle events for both employees and contingent workers, including deploying talent processes and reporting.
Leveraging talent management for business results. Core HR is the foundation, but view it as a platform for moving into efficient talent management. Through SuccessFactors, HR can support the business by enabling relevant processes such as learning, recruiting and performance management, in the hands of management, adopted for their need.
Finally, “intelligent services”, meaning automation in SuccessFactors, enables propagation of events in the HR system. Derived system conclusions which perhaps should already be obvious; for example, when you are on leave, your training is cancelled and approvals are automatically forwarded. Such automation eliminates administrative overhead and business headache.
