Biometric authentication is on the move

A Visa study recently showed that banks, not government agencies, are preferred and trusted by the British people to deliver biometric authentication payment services. We are likely to see more customer centric user experience and solutions to replace 3Dsecure with static passwords. SMS OTP was a start to increase security and becoming compliant. It is sometimes slow and not that user-friendly. Biometric authentication is huge step forward in user experience.

In Sweden, Banks have provided touchID, biometric authentication, for some time and it has to be considered a huge success.

Signicat is in the forefront of this development and is launching a global Signicat mobileID service with touchID to assist customers cross-border.
