Don't forget to (g)love yourself - it's valentine's day!

Valentine’s day. What a crazy holiday, isn’t it? Even if it sounds crazy and is obviously romanticised by consumerism it is most importantly - a day of love. And how can anyone argue against a day full of love? At least we'd like to take this opportunity to talk about our deepest values of our business and send our love to the ones close to us.

At Soft Touch, love is of course a big part of our days all year round. Love for our work, products and service. But at a time like this we'd like to direct our love for all the people around the world providing and wearing our gloves. You see - gloves may not be a particularly high thought off product when it should be quite the opposite.

Gloves are an important part of a lot of peoples lives. All around the world people are misusing or ignoring their gloves, thinking it's easier to work without them or feeling they're in the way. These people aren't thinking of the consequences of their behavior. And they should. Because one day they'll find themselves with broken bones, loss of feel in fingers or worst case scenario - loss of body parts. Can you imagine what that must feel like? I hope you can and we truly wish you won't ever need to feel it. 

Because we do everything in our power to make sure that doesn't happen.

Our job at Soft Touch is more than simply selling gloves. It's protecting a part of your body that's most valuable to you. More than 70% of all hand injuries in the work place occur because workers remove their gloves. We don't want you to have to think twice about using our protective gloves, it should feel like an absurdity not to use them. Because all we want is for you to be able to hold your daughters hand when crossing the street, feel your grandchild's tiny fingers wrap around yours, button your own shirt and hold a pencil whenever you need to. 

No matter how small the injury it will make a huge impact on your life because it'll take weeks to heal. It may be months before you'll be able to use your hand like you used to and it's not a fun time to be in.

So in the name of valentine's day we'd like to send our love to our team, for keeping safety a top priority for others who need it, to our customers who shares our values and of course to you who use our gloves and will continue using our gloves because you feel what we feel - there are important things in life that requires your hands.
