What I am Bringing from Corporate Finance to the World of Tech Investing

I am excited to now be a part of the Standout Capital team, and as the company’s most recent addition I wanted to share some thoughts on what I am hoping to contribute with.

I have spent the better part of four years within Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley in London and Stockholm. I have had the opportunity to be a part of teams advising companies across industries and geographies on both M&A and capital market transactions, often with a growth strategy underpinning the activities. I have been challenged to think thoughtfully, critically and creatively about the fundamentals of a wide range of businesses. At Morgan Stanley I also got the chance to work in a global environment connecting with colleagues and clients of different cultures from all over the world. I’m now looking forward to put this toolkit to work as part of an investment organisation and I hope that my commitment combined with my previous experience will complement my new team and help contribute to the development of our companies.

Although I am still trying to get my feet under my desk here at Standout Capital, my first impressions already exceed my expectations. Working with exciting companies within the tech sector I hope to get the opportunity to work with and invest in growth companies where we can support both with capital and knowledge to take companies to the next level. Also, the timing of joining the investment community could not be more exciting, being in the middle of a ‘digital revolution’ and becoming part of the vibrant Nordic tech scene.

I’m now prepared to take on new challenges as an investor, and looking forward to that!
