Design prize for Kista Hotel Apartments!

Silver place for Kista Hotel Apartments design!

Earlier this spring, it was announced that the interior design for Kista Hotel Apartments was nominated in the category “Signs and Displays” in the European Design Awards.

The creators of the design, brand- and design agency Under, explained the thought behind the design as following: 

StayAt is all about that little extra and we wanted to illustrate that through a play with perspectives and hidden small details and messages so that the guests always have something new to discover. Cork, plywood and lacquered aluminum where mixed together with hand painted areas that flows over the different materials and back to the wall. Every floor has it’s own colour and no signs are alike – even all the 133 apartment numbers are individually typographed.

The awards had gathered a record number of submissions from a total of 34 countries, and the winners were unveiled at a ceremony in Rivoli Theatre in Porto on May 27^th, where it was revealed that the design took silver place.
