Förtydligande - ordningsregler på nöjeskryssningar från Polen

I media rapporteras det om att Stena Line skulle tvinga sina resenärer från Polen att skriva under ett intyg kring ordningsreglerna ombord. Detta stämmer inte.

Vad det handlar är två så kallade partykryssningar per år som avgår från Gdynia till Karlskrona, där det tidigare varit stökigt. Som en del av arbetet med sjösäkerhet har Stena Line i Polen velat förtydliga ordningsreglerna för de gäster som åker på dessa kryssningar. Förtydligandet har gjorts genom ett papper där kryssningsgästerna fått läsa igenom ordningsreglerna och bekräfta att man tagit del av reglerna med sin signatur, men signaturen är frivillig. Detta papper har bara presenterats för resenärer på dessa två kryssningar och ordningsreglerna är de generella regler för sjösäkerhet som gäller alla resenärer ombord på Stena Lines fartyg. När det gäller uttalandet om att polacker inte är ett sjöfolk, som figurerar i media, är det olyckligtvis taget ur sitt sammanhang ur en längre intervju och ett resonemang om att partykryssningar på fartyg inte är vanligt förekommande i Polen.

Clarification of regulations on Party Cruises from Poland

Media reports are stating that Stena Line are forcing our Polish travelers to sign a declaration to follow rules of conduct on board. This is not true.

During two so-called party cruises per year departing from Gdynia to Karlskrona, Stena Line in Poland wished, as a part of the work with safety at sea, to clarify the rules of conduct for the guests going on these cruises. The reason is that previously there had been a bit too noisy during the cruise. The cruise guests were presented with a paper, where they read through the rules, and confirmed by a signature, but the signature is voluntary. This paper has only been presented to travelers on these two specific cruises and the rules of conduct are the general rules for safety at sea that apply to all passengers on board the Stena Line ships. Regarding the statement that “Polish people are not seafarers”, who figures in the media, it is, unfortunately, taken out of context from a longer interview and a discussion on the subject that party cruises onboard are not that common in Poland.
