Startups, hackers, designers and VC's compete in hackathon

STHLM Startup Hack, the 12 hour hackathon happening on the 11th of May at Skeppsholmskyrkan, have in addition to hackers, entrepreneurs, startups and designers also a team from Creandum, the Nordic tech VC firm, competing.

The annual event STHLM Startup Hack has several large sponsors such as Spotify, Glesys and Amazon, but it is also sponsored by startups such Tictail and Über. Stockholm is one of the most vibrant startup hubs in Europe, and this is a day to grow and further strengthen the community among developers, designers and innovators, as well as opening up the world of tech to more people.

The hackathon in itself will last 12 hours, where the participating teams can build whatever they want as long as it can stand on its own. Participants are encouraged to build something fun out of ideas that they have been saving for later, rather than building something related to their jobs. The most important thing is to have fun. Besides winning a glamorous secret prize, the winning team will also receive a dinner with the Creandum investment team for further feedback and thoughts on their hackathon creation.

In connection to the hackathon, there will be a party to celebrate Stockholm's startup community. Doors will be open to everyone when the participating teams presentations starts. When the winner has been crowned, the church will be turned into a dance floor with a bar and DJs from different startups.
