Sistema Europe samlar sig för framtiden

Dear Network and Associate Members

In advance of the Sistema Europe 2016 General Assembly in Vienna, we wish to send you information regarding the Strategy and Planning Workshops that are to take place on 23 April 2016 in Vienna as part of the Encounter. These sessions were announced in the 29 February invitation (a copy of which can be resent to any members who no longer have access to it). Their aim is to decide together as a group what direction Sistema Europe’s future planning should take, so this is a key meeting for all of us.

In order to help this process, and working with our host Superar Austria (many thanks in particular to Angelika Losek of Superar), we think that it would be very useful to structure the content of the sessions in Vienna around what Members currently feel are the key issues, challenges and opportunities of our work. We are therefore now writing to you to invite you to be part of this process, by sharing your views and opinions in advance of the workshops. That way the process becomes as democratic as possible, as well as offering an opportunity for any Members who are unable to be in Vienna to have their views considered.

To give you the opportunity to express your views we have designed a Call Out to Management Members in a manner similar to the recent Call Out to teachers. In order to make this process as easy as possible, you can find the Call Out as a series of 5 questions in a simple to fill in online Google document via this Link to Online Form (If by any chance the link does not open, you can also access it by pasting the following address into a browser: http://goo.gl/forms/H3IUWJTCnu ). Please feel free to answer these questions as briefly or as in as much depth as you like, and to take this opportunity to express any opinions. Your views count, and this is your opportunity to record them. We will then endeavour to respond to your concerns and ideas.

In order for us to have time to properly plan the sessions as a result of your replies please ensure that your replies are sent in by Friday 8 April.

As an additional help to this part of the process, we are also attaching a briefing note that outlines the Board’s deliberations regarding Sistema Europe strategy since the general Assembly in Salzburg in February 2015. We hope that seeing meeting note minutes and actions since last year will help you in answering the online questions. We will also be sending you further information regarding the Schedule and general Assembly in the next few weeks, and we look forward to meeting everyone in Vienna in April!
