Efter årets mässa inleddes ett analysarbete som nu har färdigställts. Bokmässans ledning kan i dag redogöra för en rad nya beslut inför 2018. Ett av besluten är att Bokmässan, efter en samlad bedömning, kommer att neka Nya Tider att ställa ut vid nästa års mässa.
Bokmässan blir ny samarbetspartner till Bonnierförlagens deckarfestival Crimetime. Tanken är att skapa en ny arena för läsare, författare och branschintressenter med gemensam passion för crimelitteratur. Samarbetet tar avstamp i en gemensam vilja att skapa Sveriges största mötesplats för författare och läsare som älskar spänningslitteratur.
Det har varit ett annorlunda år för Bokmässan i Göteborg. Under de tre första dagarna hade Bokmässan närmare 60 00 besökare. Svenska kyrkans ärkebiskop Antje Jackelén framhåller att årets tema Bildning har övertygat genom sin robusta styrka och vassa relevans.
Svenska Mässan Gothia Towers är norra Europas största mötesplats för helhetsupplevelser med ett unikt läge mitt i evenemangsområdet i centrala Göteborg. Mötesplatsen grundades 1918 och arrangerar och driver idag mässor, möten, hotell, restauranger och spa. Varje år välkomnas två miljoner besökare från hela världen att mötas, äta och bo hos oss. Mötesplatsen ägs av Svenska Mässan Stiftelse, en ekonomiskt fristående stiftelse utan ägare och investerare med uppdrag att främja näringslivet.
