The horse society in Sweden and Friends Arena has set a world record!

Sweden International Horse Show 2014 was an international success.
- We have examined all the figures of the International Equestrian Federation, and all indicates that we set a new world record on Saturday, says Ulf Rosengren, president of SIHS.

The audience at Sweden International Horse Show has most likely contributed to set a world record.
Saturday's peak of 13,750 people in the stands during one show alone is the highest attendance so far at an indoor horse event.
- The international association FEI has no exact statistics but it can be appreciated that no another indoor horse event have had more visitors on site at the same time, says Ulf Rosengren, president of SIHS, who asked the FEI to examine the attendance figures at all world horse shows and competitions.

Jumping Director John Roche at FEI confirms that the number of visitors during SIHS was the world's largest.
- If we look at major events in Western Europe, the following venues have the greatest capacity: Zurich, 11 500 seats, followed by Mechelen and Gothenburg with 10,000 seats. London Olympia has a capacity of 8000 seats and Las Vegas 12 000.
Chairman of the Swedish Equestrian Federation, Anders Mellberg, is pleased about the large interest in horses in Sweden.
- That we can fill such a large arena shows that the interest in horses in Sweden is very big and that we can offer an equestrian event in absolute world class.

Ulf Rosengren is not at rest with a new world record.
- Friends Arena has an even greater capacity and we are exploring how to get the most out of the nice arena and make room for even more. This year's success will hopefully mean that more people will want to participate next year - and set another world record, says Ulf Rosengren.
