Rhys Davies will be the guest speaker at the ILS Summer School 2009!
A message from Stuart, one of our ILS Summer School teachers!
– Interest in this year’s ILS Summer School is high so I want to update everyone about one of our guest speakers for this year’s summer school, Rhys Davies. Rhys is the Global Consulting Leader for Digital Asset Management at Atkins.
Rhys is also the Chair of ISO Committee (TC251) leading 32 countries in developing International Standards for Asset Management leading to the publication of the ISO55000 series in 2014. He continues to lead that group in its ongoing work now focusing on sustainable value, public policy and finance. Rhys is a member of the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) and has been involved in a variety of roles including Board (2014 – 2016) and IAM Council previous to that. He is currently the Atkins representative at the IAM UK Patrons Group.
Rhys will present a brief history of ISO55001 and a discuss the uptake in different industry sectors around the world. The presentation will particularly highlight uptake and usage in the global defence sector. We very much look forward to an interesting and stimulating presentation!
