Prestigious European Prize for Tunaspot

Tunaspot won a bronze in the prestigious web competition the Lovie Awards in the category ”Tablet and other devices: Entertainment”. Among the other winners are companies such as Google, London 2012 Olympics, and Financial Times. Tunaspot is rewarded for their application inside of Spotify with location-based playlists.

The award ceremony takes place in London on the 12th of November as a part of Internet Week Europe: https://www.internetweekeurope.com/.

-       ”It is incredibly fun to win! It is with tremendous honour that we accept this prize. We are proud over the fact that we have been chosen as one of the best new Internet services in Europe. This is, after all, just the first version of our service, a minimal viable product, which has only the most vital functions. “ Says Erik Stenberg, co-founder of Tunaspot

That the high profile judges think we already deserve this prize is great proof that we are heading in the right direction. Now it feels like the sky is the limit.

-             We are bootstrapping and have created Tunaspot without any external funding. To be among the winners, alongside Google, Financial Times, London 2012 Olympics feels great. It is a great reward for all the hard work we have put into developing our application. We have had fun creating our application, the future is only going to get better” Erik Stenberg, co-founder of Tunaspot, continues.

Lovie Awards, www.lovieawards.eu, started last year with the purpose to highlight the best examples of good design and new innovative web services. It is the only pan-European competition that spans all different types of Internet services. Lovie Awards is the European version of the Webby Awards. Behind the competition is the International Academy of Digital Arts and Science (IADAS) http://www.iadas.net/. The prize ceremony will is on November 12th in London, as a part of Internet Week Europe https://www.internetweekeurope.com/.

Tunaspot launch our application inside of Spotify late August. It is the first location-based application inside of Spotify. Music is memories and memories are most often connected to a certain place. We want people to share their memories and their favourite music on places all around the world. You will discover new great music by browsing the map: what does the music sound like in Sao Paolo or the north of Mali?
