Twingly appointed one of Sweden's hottest startups

For the second year in a row Twingly has been named one of Sweden's hottest technology startups by Swedish newspapers Affärsvärlden and Ny teknik ("New Technology" and "BusinessWorld" in English). According to the newspapers Twingly is among the top seven web startups in Sweden, which all are seen to be a big international potential and believed to change the rules of the game in its field.

Of over 200 nominated companies, newspapers Affärsvärlden and Ny teknik jointly appointed the 33 hottest technology startups in Sweden. Among the 33 companies, which have no internal ranking, there are a total of seven web companies and Twingly is one of them.

"Looking at the other companies on the list we are humbled by the recognition and proud to be among them. There are many talented entrepreneurs around Sweden and we are happy that there are awards like this to recognize all the hard work startups put into driving change on the web and in technology in general. Large corporations were suitable in the past when communication was costly. Now, small companies are building the future", says Twingly CEO Martin Källström.

The list of the country's 33 hottest technology startups are determined each year by the editorial staff at Affärsvärlden and Ny teknik based on their overall evaluations of the companies by the following criteria:

- Develop a unique product or service around an innovation.

- Have a great international potential and subject to change rules of the game in its field.

- Be based Sweden.

- Be a maximum of seven years old (having started no earlier than 2003).

- Not be listed on the stock exchange.
