Sweden’s largest companies choose UnitedLog as a preferred supplier

Of Sweden's 20 largest companies in 2011 nearly 1/3 has chosen UnitedLog as a supplier of critical IT systems to manage their global supply chain and logistics.

Each year, the Swedish business magazine Veckans Affärer (VA) ranks the largest companies in Sweden - measured by annual sales turnover.

According to the latest list for 2011, Volvo Group had emerged as the largest company and thus relegates the 2010 number one AstraZeneca to second place.

The list is dominated by well-known global companies like ABB, SKF, Sandvik and Ericsson, which all have their origin and base in Sweden but the bulk of their sales on export markets. One exception is TeliaSonera, the telecom operator, who despite its limited geographical spread has climbed from 11th place in 2010 to position no 7 in 2011.

Common to all the top 20 companies on the list is that they over the past few years have increased their efforts to improve service levels and reduce logistics costs in the increasingly intense international competition. The goal is especially to achieve better control and visibility in the flow of goods - both in-bound to their factories - and out-bound to their customers.

Several of the companies on the list have discovered the benefits of choosing UnitedLog as a partner to gain control of their global logistics flows. By using UnitedLog's proprietary software for Logistics Control Tower, more and more of these companies have the control and efficiency required to maintain a leading position in the global market.
