Istanbul: Ergonomidesign puts Swedish child design on the international map

‘Swedish Seeds’ is an exhibition focusing on Swedish design for children, showing products for safe and secure child environment. Ergonomidesign, one of the world’s leading design firms within the field of product design for children, is proud to be represented by several products in the exhibition – including a baby carrier designed for BabyBjörn, the Genotropin injection pen for Pfizer, and a pram for Brio. There will be interesting seminars bringing together experts on designing for children.

Jan Puranen, Industrial Designer at Ergonomidesign, will hold a presentation on Thursday, October 7th, starting at 03.40 pm.  ‘Design for children – when only the best is good enough’ will focus on why Sweden has become one of the leading countries in the world when it comes to creating quality design for children. And what role has Ergonomidesign played with 40 years of experience in the field? Our collaboration with BabyBjörn has resulted in numerous products over the years. It has also changed the life of modern families by increasing their flexibility, safety, and most important; the baby carrier that caused a small revolution when daddies too started to carry babies on their chest.

‘Swedish Seeds’ is presented by Istanbul Technical University Department of Industrial Product Design, the Consulate General of Sweden in Istanbul and the Swedish Institute.
