We are strengthening our Human Factors, Design Strategy and Interaction Design teams

We would like to welcome three special additions to our Human Factors, Design Strategy and Interaction Design teams.

Pernilla Danielsson is an industrial designer turned design researcher. After five years working as a designer and a researcher at IDEO in München, with clients in the medical health care, food and beverages, games and toys business sectors, she has now joined Ergonomidesign’s Human Factors team as a Design Researcher. Pernilla sees research as a natural and fundamental part of the design process. “In order to find valuable business opportunities and spark great design ideas researchers have to bring insights about users’ aspirations, emotional values and intangible needs to the design process from the start.”

Laura Patterson joins Ergonomidesign’s Design Strategists from Chicago, where she has been consulting businesses since 2003 in design strategy and research issues. She looks forward to helping Ergonomidesign’s clients frame design problems and understand how to tap in to business opportunities in their particular sectors. “The Design Strategy team at Ergonomidesign is diverse and dynamic, bringing together an unusually large team of competent strategists from different backgrounds. It is in a unique position in terms of delivering valuable strategic design solutions to any type of client.”

Clayton Cook is taking a break from doing his Masters degree in interaction design, at Umeå University, to join Ergonomidesign's interaction design team. He brings 13 years of experience as a graphic designer having previously designed for digital and print communication. “Design is a great tool to improve the quality of people’s lives by enhancing the physical, cognitive and emotional levels of users’ experiences. As I already have a lot of know-how from designing at the emotional level, I see working at Ergonomidesign as an opportunity to learn how to dive deeper into the physical and cognitive levels to help designers better accommodate to user needs.”
