Watty and Solarix collaborate to strengthen the Chilean market with cutting edge sustainable energy solutions

Watty will allow Solarix and partners to equip over 1000 properties with smart home solutions

STOCKHOLM, Sweden and SANTIAGO, Chile — March 16, 2017 — Watty and Solarix today announced the start of a collaboration, at MIPIM, the world's largest property summit, to help the Chilean market lay the foundation for their ambitious sustainability plans. Swedish Watty’s cutting edge artificial intelligence technology will empower Solarix to give its customers access to state of the art smart home solutions and become leaders in energy efficiency in Chile and Latin America.

Solarix’s ambitious plan is to equip over 1000 apartments and houses in Chile with Watty’s end-to-end platform. The Swedish technology will allow Solarix’s customers to understand, monitor and analyze their energy consumption—all in real time. Watty’s advanced cloud-based solution is a combination of hardware, software and a mobile application.

‘We’re very proud of this collaboration and the opportunity to enter the Chilean market with Solarix. Our aligned vision will provide people with powerful capabilities and support them with their everyday decisions’ says Watty CEO, Hjalmar Nilsonne.

The Watty box is a compact and aesthetically-pleasing device that can be easily installed in the household’s fusebox. Once connected to the WiFi, Watty’s algorithms can detect and identify most appliances at home, thus giving power to households in providing access to high-quality data, with an intuitive interface, to see what is happening at home and take control of their energy consumption. Watty’s solution can also detect anomalies at home—for example, receiving a notification when the fridge stops functioning. ‘Watty will be the centre of our landscape, and a key partner to help us understand the use of energy in our homes’ says Solarix general, Andro Lindsay.

The roll-out is set to start in June 2017 and the first houses will be fully operational by the end of 2017.
