Wittra Sweden AB signs significant contract for elderly health care

Wittra has signed a contract for implementing its unique positioning technology in applications for elderly health care. The contract is worth 65 million SEK for the upcoming two years and Wittra is proud of this opportunity to help redefine positioning for the senior citizens of the world.

Wittra has developed a patented solution to provide long-range positioning, both indoors and outdoors, with breakthrough battery life. This disruptive and cost efficient technology enables positioning for devices in the Internet of Moving Things (IoMT) and provides high commercial value for customers requiring long-range positioning.

Signing the contract for elderly health care is a milestone for Wittra in bringing the positioning technology to this market. The Wittra team will work closely with the customer´s R&D-team to implement the Wittra technology into their products. This is the first contract wherein the Wittra positioning technology is embedded into another product instead of being distributed as a rebranded Wittra product.

From the launch of the Wittra technology in early 2016, Wittra has signed a significant distribution agreement for China and secured multiple pilot customers that will sell Wittra products. The agreement within elderly health care completes a successful mission to start commercialization of the positioning technology in third party products. For 2017, the focus for Wittra is an acceleration of sales and volume deliveries.
