Sentient Earns Product Leadership Award

“Sentient’s steering software stands apart from the competition as it caters to different steering systems, hardware and system integrators, which means that it can be used in practically any vehicle.” With these words, the American research analyst company Frost & Sullivan has awarded its Product Leadership Award to Sentient.

The independent profile of Sentient’s S+ Premium Steering® as well as its ability to reduce and eliminate steering disturbances caught the interest of the research analysts at Texas-based Frost & Sullivan.

The award also recognizes the higher-value proposition to the customers, as a result of the introduction of an innovative element in a product that enhances certain functionalities, not least the opportunity to create a series of tuning parameters that allows the S+ Premium Steering® to be used in a wide range of vehicles.

Frost & Sullivan expects that the steering system from Sentient may be implemented in as many as 1 million vehicles by 2020.

“We are very proud to be recognized as such an innovative company, offering high values to our customers,” said Per Adolfsson, co-operative director of Sentient.

Last week, Sentient was also awarded the “Cooperative Enterprise of the Year” prize for the Gothenburg region. Sentient was selected as a “good example on how cooperative values build innovative companies,” the award jury explained.

“To receive two such awards in a few days, one for our technology and one for our values and management, is of course extremely encouraging,” said Adolfsson. “And, even more encouraging, this is also reflected in the interest shown by our customers and partners. At the moment we are delivering prototypes for several different lines of vehicles.”
