Marketing Interactive reported that the Ministry of Defence (“MINDEF”) has appointed Asia PR Werkz for the management of Public Relations and Online Engagement for Total Defence 2017, a campaign organised to raise Singaporeans’ awareness of Total Defence and encourage them to play their part in making Singapore strong and secure.
Asia PR Werkz developed and will execute an integrated communication strategy that includes media management and will oversee the campaign’s online engagement effort.
The theme for 2017’s Total Defence campaign – “Together We Keep Singapore Strong” – focuses on the many ways we can put Total Defence into action in our everyday lives. This year’s Total Defence Day coincides with the 75th anniversary of the fall of Singapore to the Japanese during World War II in 1942. Efforts will be made to remind Singaporeans on Total Defence Day on 15th February that we must be able to defend ourselves and to strengthen our resolve to keep Singapore safe and sovereign.
The Asia PR Werkz team were also appointed to manage the publicity duties for N.E.mation 11, a digital animation competition organised by MINDEF (Nexus) for youths, and ciNE65, a short film competition which aims to capture our Singaporean identity through the lenses of local budding film-makers.
The project is led by Ms Cho Pei Lin, Managing Director, Asia PR Werkz. The online engagement effort is led by Ms Sharon Koh, Director, Asia PR Werkz.
