Five Amazing Gastronomic Activities in Catalonia

4. Olive Oil experiences – millenary olive trees

There are fi ve protected designati ons of origin of extra-virgin olive oil in Catalonia: Les Garrigues, Siurana, Terra Alta, Baix Ebre-Montsià and Empordà, each off ering a product with very different body and aroma thanks to the diversity in climate, soil and olive varieties. Visitors can enjoy olive oil experiences all over Catalonia but one of the most special and unique ones is to visit the ancient olive trees fields of Ulldecona. The tour takes visitors through an area that boasts almost two thousand trees aged between one thousand and two thousand years.
