Codorniu Quest, Cava and Modernism

These visits to Cordorniu's wineries, located in Vilafranca (Costa Barcelona), focus on both cava and the Modernisme architectural style. The route not only showcases the work of Puig i Cadafalch, but also allows you to see unique documents from the period and some of the architect’s handwritten letters, taking you back to the 19th century.

After a train ride through underground galleries, the experience ends at the Torre Modernista, where Codorniu’s owners, the Raventós family, lived until the 1980s. At this tower, which is now open for the first time to the public, visitors can enjoy a tasting or brunch in a singular building within the Codorniu architectural complex, which was declared a National Artistic Heritage Site in 1976.
