VLV PRESENTS AN ABUNDANCE OF FESTIVE OFFERINGS THIS LUNAR NEW YEAR

Singapore, December 2017 - VLV welcomes the year of the Dog in style with a stunning suite of culinary creations. Housed in a turn of the century conservation Teochew mansion, the restaurant updates the architecture with tasteful and elegant modern fixtures. Within this stunning dining room, celebrate the festivities with your nearest and dearest with sets for varying group sizes.

Back for its second Lunar New Year since their grand opening in September 2016, diners can expect an abundance of festive offerings from VLV this year with each set consisting of eight courses, all exclusively curated and crafted by award-winning Executive Head Chef Martin Foo. Look forward to their signature dishes and other unique-to-VLV Modern Chinese dishes done with a twist, yet still retaining that authentic flavour that is sure to suit palates of all ages.

Each set includes the VLV “Lo Hei”, an exquisitely plated modern take on the traditional dish centred with fresh vegetables. For a refreshing alternative, opt for the LobsterSalmon and Yellow Tail “Lo Hei”, available in the “Happiness”, “Longevity” and “Wealth” set to get more bang for your buck. Executive Head Chef Martin Foo takes care to use all-natural ingredients for this creation with no artificial colourings or preservatives. Finely julienned carrots, cucumber and radish are elevated with the house made passionfruit plum sauce, this perfected balanced sauce elevates the dish and steals the show.

Nine set menus are available for selection, featuring a number of VLV signature dishes like the Truffle London Roasted Fat Duck and the Crispy Sakura Chicken with Sesame which complement special dishes created for the season including Braised Stuffed Abalone with Fish Maw & Shrimp Paste, Dried Oyster & Black Moss in Abalone Jus and Steamed Glutinous Rice with Scallop and Black Bean served in Bamboo Basket

Of course, no such meal is completed without dessert. All desserts available on the festive menu are house made, but opt for the signature “Or Nee” with Pumpkin, Gingko Nuts and Coconut Ice Cream to get the whole VLV experience. Unique to VLV, this traditional Teochew yam paste dessert is done chilled and with no lard!

Join VLV as we celebrate our second Lunar New Year in 2018. The Lunar New Year menus are available from 29 January to 02 March 2018 for both Lunch and Dinner. (VLV Restaurant is closed on 16th and 17th February).
