The choir is one of the leading choirs in Europe and has a historical experience of more than 900 years of singing in the majestic Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, Norway. The Cathedral, built in the year 1070, is the choir’s main concert arena.

The choir celebrates 90 years of modern choir tradition in 2017 and will perform Messa di Gloria by Giacomo Puccini plus a repertoire of traditional and classical works. This will be the first time that Puccini’s largest non-operatic work will be performed in its entirety in Singapore. Audiences will also be treated to Norwegian folk songs that is rarely heard in Singapore.

The Singaporean chamber orchestra re:SOUND will accompany the choir.
