Gentle reminder: Creating a more sustainable future through corporate responsibility initiatives

Join us on 22 November for a lunch seminar about corporate responsibility and sustainability with best practice examples from DNB, Norway’s largest financial group.

DNB believes that corporate responsibility is key to delivering long term value creation. The presentation will focus on how large corporate organisations can achieve this, and how to integrate ethical, environmental and social aspects into business operations. Øistein Akselberg and Omar Sekkat from DNB will outline their upcoming plans, the opportunities and challenges they have faced and share their CR and sustainability experiences within their global organisation.

Øistein Akselberg is the Senior Sustainability Manager for DNB’s Corporate Banking and is responsible for driving the corporate responsibility and sustainability initiatives, as well as advising and consulting with colleagues and clients on sustainability risks and opportunities. In addition, Øistein manages a global network of Corporate Responsibility Ambassadors. He has over 25 years’ experience with DNB and holds a Master of Management degree from BI Norwegian Business School.

Omar Sekkat is the Senior Vice President for Oil & Gas and Corporate Responsibility Ambassador for Asia-Pacific at DNB. Based in Singapore since 2011, he has over 18 years of experience within Energy & Infrastructure and holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and a MSc. in Energy, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School.
