La Barca is situated on an unusually shaped site, one that is in the shape of a boat, on what was formerly a school campus. The campus is now Goodman Arts Centre, and a Swede has transformed what was the schools’ former canteen cum hawker centre into a stunning restaurant, reminiscent of Singapore’s colonial era.
